Martin M. Adams family portrait consisting of Martin Monroe Adams, Harriet C. Garrett Adams, Ernest Washington Adams Sr. and Thomas Garrett Adams. Date estimated as c. 1895. Martin M. Adams was a Civil War prisoner in 1865 and was taken to Wheeling VA (now WV). His cousin William Braithwaite was with him in prison. Thomas Garrett Adams was killed in WWI in France. All lived at the old farm in Gainesboro VA (Pughtown).
